The Paradise Papers are comprised of 13.4 million files leaked from two offshore service providers and 19 tax havens’ company registries to German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung who shared the documents with the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), an international consortium of journalists.
U.S. people and businesses dominate the leaked files. At least 31,000 U.S. citizens, residents and companies were named in the Paradise papers. Big U.S. political donors are implicated in the leak. 13 Trump advisers’, donors and cabinet members names appear in the leaked information. They include chief economic adviser Gary Cohn, secretary of state Rex Tillerson, Commerce secretary Wilbur Ross and Treasury secretary Steven Mnuchin.
